repair days

The National Ornamental Metal Museum, located on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River, was established in 1979. Each October, Metalsmiths converge from all over the country to volunteer their skills. Repair Days are a great opportunity for students in the metals field to learn from established professionals. This year, the art of Master Metalsmith Elliot Pujol will be in the main gallery. Pujol will give a gallery talk about his work on Friday evening.

This annual fundraising event invites the public to bring broken items and watch the repairs. There are activities for kids and adults. Fine handmade metal objects donated by artists will be auctioned to benefit the Museum’s library renovation project.

Come out to the bluff, bring your stuff, and the family. The cool October air and gorgeous sunsets await. For directions and more information, visit www.metalmuseum.org
